Capital District Jazz presents its
Spring 2016 Select High School Jazz Band
with guest artist Valery Ponomarev

This two-day event will consist of big band rehearsals, clinics and improvisation master classes and will conclude with a performance by the Select Jazz Band and special guest Valery Ponomarev.
SCHEDULE:
Friday, June 10: Rehearsal 5-9 pm at Schenectady County Community College (SCCC) Saturday, June 11: Rehearsal 10 am to 2 pm at SCCC, CONCERT 4pm at SCCC
APPLICATION PROCESS:
To apply, students must submit an application and audition video (details below).
Application deadline is tba.
Notification will be made VIA E-MAIL by tba.
There is a $40 participation fee per student due upon notification of acceptance.
Financial assistance is available on a need basis.

AUDITION VIDEO:
To be considered, applicants need to video record themselves performing the audition materials. Recording quality is NOT a factor (Video recorders, cellphones etc. are all acceptable media), however prompt delivery of the video is essential. If the material is not able to be viewed, then the applicant will NOT be considered. Possible delivery formats include but are not limited to: Dropbox, Youtube, Yousendit or other web based services. The key is to make sure we are able to view the video. Although it's not a requirement to improvise on your audition, it is strongly recommended. If you wish to include a sample of your improvisational abilities, please use the backing track below.
